Shopping for rings online is all fun and games until you realize don't know your ring size. The good news: you don’t have to step foot in a jewelry store to find out. You can easily measure your size at home to find your perfect fitting ring. There's a couple ways you can find your size. All you need is a ring that fits, a ruler, and some string.
Using a Ring You Already Own
This is the easy route for finding your ring size. If you have a ring that already fits, use it to your advantage. Using your ruler, place the ring over it to find the inner diameter in millimeters. This method is best using a ring that has a similar band width to the style you’re shopping for. Refer to the chart below for measurement sizing.
Measure With a String
If you don't have a ring for the finger you are trying to size, try using a strip of paper or string. Wrap the string or paper around your finger in the area you are trying to size, mark where it overlaps, and then measure to find your ring size. Refer to the chart below.
Helpful Tips
We suggest measuring your finger at the end of the day, that's when your fingers are at their largest. Finding the right size is all about how the ring feels on your finger. It should feel natural, not uncomfortable. A well-sized ring should comfortably slide over your knuckle with little resistance. If your measurement is an in between size, we recommend sizing up. A ring that is a bit too lose can usually be resized or worn with size adjuster. A ring that's too small is not as forgiving.
